Shipping Terms

 

These delivery terms apply to purchases of apparel, items, accessories or other goods (“Purchase”) or DRESSEDUP rentals items (“Rentals”) from DRESSEDUP and are to be read together with our Sales Terms and Conditions/Hire Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy and Returns Policy.

1.      Delivery Fees

A flat rate delivery fee of $12.95 will be charged on all standard Purchases and Rentals. This rate may be updated at our discretion from time to time.

2.      Delivery Notification


Once your Purchase or Rental has been dispatched you will be able to contact us via email or phone for your tracking information. You can also check the status of your Purchase or Rentals by logging into your account. Click here to login to your account.

3.      Delivery Time


DRESSEDUP aim to deliver within the time indicated by us at the time of your order but we cannot promise an exact date when you submit your order or at the confirmation of order.

For Rentals once we have dispatched your order you should receive it within 2 days.

In estimating your delivery time for Purchases, delivery times may vary from product to product. Most Purchases will be dispatched from our warehouse within 1 to 3 business days of placing an order.

4.      Urgent Next Day and Same Day Orders (Sydney Metro Only)


Next day delivery is available on all rentals Australia wide at a flat fee of $45. For Sydney Metro, same day delivery is available at a flat fee of $35. 5.      Liability for late delivery


We make every attempt to deliver goods within the estimated time frame and will endeavour to let you know if we expect that there will be any delivery date, but, to the extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable to you for any losses, liabilities, costs, damages, charges or expenses arising out of late delivery.

6.      Delivery Restrictions


It might not be possible for us to deliver to some locations. If this is the case, we will inform you using the contact details that you provide to us when you make your Order and arrange for cancellation of the Order or delivery to an alternative delivery address.

7.      Authority to Leave


On delivery of Purchases you are required to sign for delivery, unless we have agreed ion writing to leave at your premises (‘Authority to Leave’). You agree to inspect the Product for any obvious faults, defects or damage before you sign for delivery. You need to keep receipt of the delivered Product in case of future discussions with us about it.

Where you grant us an Authority to leave when placing your Order you agree that this authority to leave gives us and/or our selected couriers permission to leave your Purchase unattended by the front door or, where applicable, at the reception or concierge's desk of the delivery address without obtaining a signature confirming delivery at the delivery location. In such circumstances, you understand and agree that by granting us authority to leave, we and our couriers are released of all responsibility and liability for your Purchase delivered and left unattended, and that this responsibility and liability transfer to you on delivery.

8.      Packaging


We deliver in our standard packaging. Any special packaging requested by you is subject to additional charges.

9.      Risk in Orders


At DRESSEDUP’s sole discretion delivery of a Purchase or Hire shall be deemed to have taken place when the Apparel is delivered to the User’s nominated delivery address and the User (or a third party nominated by the User) has signed the delivery receipt.

Unless otherwise specified, all risk in Purchases shall pass to you upon delivery, except that, where delivery is delayed due to a breach of your obligations under a Contract, risk shall pass at the date when delivery would have occurred but for your breach. From the time when risk passes to you, we will not be liable for loss or destruction of the Product.

10.  Your Responsibilities


a.      You shall ensure that you are ready for safe receipt of your purchase without undue delay and at any time reasonably specified by us.

b.      You must take care when opening the Product so as not to damage it, particularly when using any sharp instruments.

c.       You must make all necessary arrangements to take delivery of your order when tendered for delivery. In the event that you are unable to take delivery of your order at the nominated delivery address and for any other reason DRESSEDUP is required to redeliver your Purchase or Rental and we incur a redelivery fee, you agree to accept responsibility for the fee.

d.      Any delivery time or date that you are given is an estimate only. You must accept delivery of a Purchase or Rental even if it is late and DRESSEDUP will not be liable for any loss or damage as a result of the delivery being late.

11.  Delivery during Events or Sale Periods


During sale periods, you may experience a delay in receiving your Purchase, we apologise in advance for any inconvenience. Please allow at least 3 business days for us to dispatch your Purchase during these busy periods. To be notified when we have events and sales simply sign up to DRESSEDUP’s newsletter.

12. Non Acceptance of Delivery

If delivery or collection is delayed through your unreasonable refusal to accept delivery or if you do not (within two weeks of our first attempt to deliver the Product to you) accept delivery or collect the Product from the carrier, then we may (without affecting any other right or remedy available to us) do either or both of the following:

a.      charge you for our reasonable storage fee and other costs reasonably incurred by us; or

b.      no longer make the Product available for delivery or collection and notify you that we are immediately cancelling the applicable Contract, in which case we will refund to you or your credit or debit card company as applicable any money already paid to us under the applicable Contract, less our reasonable administration charges (including for attempting to deliver and then returning the Product, and any storage fees.

13.  Return of Goods


No goods may be returned to us without our prior written approval and then only upon such terms as we may require which may include inspection, re-packaging and transport costs. For further details see our Returns Policy.
